I donot think the method will work.

In my opinion, I do not agree with this way which axing poison control center will work because the center is worth to many people's health specially for children. However, if California expel the poison control center, the state will have more serious problems in advanced. In other words, California can save 6million dollars for refilling revenues, but they may purchase for more money to fixing problems that occurs from axing the center.

I think California needs to control their expenses so far. In addition, people cannot receive promises from the Government. Moreover, California's Government needs to stop the recession and drop revenues.

Listening HW # 3: Should CA Axe Poison Control?

California is having major budgeting issues! With the Balanced Budget Amendment, they cannot have a deficit! That means that their revenues (including loans) and their expenses MUST equal zero. The recession has caused a major drop in revenues. In addition, CA bonds currently have a very low rating (the lowest of all 50 states!), so they are having a difficult time finding people who want to buy them. Therefore, they only have two choices: increase taxes or decrease spending.
